Coffee 2006-2016
/Yesterday Coffee was not his usual self. He did not hop to the door for a massage, and he didn't have an appetite. He ate a few dandelion greens -- a favorite food -- maybe more to please his caretakers than because he wanted them. Realizing that he has been at Journey's End for 10 years, we were not surprised this morning to discover that Coffee had died of old age. Andy, Lily, Tim, Helena, and Kristin buried him among the daffodils at the edge of the Round Meadow. Slim Jim showed up, too. He and Coffee had a long-term friendship as you can see from the photo. We already miss Coffee's eager greetings and the way he always wanted more 'salad.'
